Isn't there an art to using one of these? Have you mastered it?

Yes and no. Now that I can shave my whole face/neck with it I consider myself a beginner. At first I was only doing 1 pass WTG (with the grain) and finishing with a DE (double edge safety razor). Now I am doing 2 passes: WTG first, then the second pass is XTG (across the grain) on the face and ATG (against the grain) on the neck. Some people do 3 passes: WTG, XTG, then ATG. I think that would be too much irritation for my skin right now.

Each pass requires a little different angle: something like 20 degrees WTG and 8 degrees ATG. It's an art and science, but mostly practice and patience, and blood. It's a nice shave though, and I won't have to buy $4 cartridges again (unless my hands start to tremble too much).
